Description
The Cat Family is counting down to a birthday, and getting ready creates a house full of little discoveries. Lifting the flaps lets children investigate the preparations and notice the details of family life as the celebration approaches. Lucy Brownridge and Eunyoung Seo combine warm storytelling with richly illustrated scenes, making this a welcoming shared read about anticipation, helping and the pleasure of putting effort into someone else’s special day.
Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The interactive pictures make shared reading inviting for children building attention and confidence with books. Looking for clues and joining in supports prediction, vocabulary and story order, while exploring the pages encourages careful hand movements and a sense of participation in the story.
Available at QT Toys in Battersea.
