Description
Strange happenings in the sewers bring another alarming challenge to Frankie Banister and the family behind the Nothing to See Here Hotel. Investigating draws them away from the comforts of their unusual guesthouse and into a much murkier adventure. Steven Butler’s comic fantasy keeps the danger playful through exaggerated characters and lively illustrations, making this an inviting read for children who enjoy monsters, mysteries and a little deliciously disgusting humour.
Age suitability and learning: Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). The longer narrative suits children ready to sustain attention across a developing story, whether reading independently or sharing it aloud. Following characters and events supports comprehension, vocabulary and reading stamina; discussing motives, settings and choices encourages inference, empathy and imaginative thinking.
Available at QT Toys in Battersea.
