Description
Cat wants to learn to cook, and a visit to the library gives her a good place to begin. Finding a useful book becomes part of a cheerful woodland adventure, with flaps inviting young children to discover what is on each page. Julia Donaldson’s simple rhyme and Axel Scheffler’s friendly illustrations connect a familiar interest with the idea that reading can help us try something new.
Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The interactive pictures make shared reading inviting for children building attention and confidence with books. Looking for clues and joining in supports prediction, vocabulary and story order, while exploring the pages encourages careful hand movements and a sense of participation in the story.
