Description
Dog Man's struggle to control his ball-chasing instincts runs alongside another burst of trouble for the Supa Buddies. Meanwhile, Petey and Li'l Petey bring questions about goodness and change into the middle of the mayhem. Dav Pilkey's seventh adventure combines silly action with a generous heart, giving readers comic panels, visual jokes and characters who discover that doing the right thing can take practice.
Age suitability and learning: Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). Comic panels make the action approachable for primary readers and reward older children who enjoy visual humour. Reading words alongside pictures supports sequencing, inference and understanding of dialogue; the characters' choices invite discussion about friendship, kindness and working together.
