Description
Jonty is a little gentoo penguin with a very big ambition: to find the South Pole. Leaving the zoo sets him on an extraordinary journey, though the world is much larger and more confusing than he expected. Julia Donaldson’s rhyming adventure and Axel Scheffler’s lively pictures combine humour, determination and the kindness of helpers, creating an inviting read-aloud about following a dream and finding where you belong.
Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). Rhythm and repeated language help younger listeners join in, while primary readers can explore the words and pictures more closely. Reading aloud supports listening, sound awareness and expressive speech; following the story encourages recall and talking about what happens next.
Available at QT Toys in Battersea.
